What is included in your Full Service?
Our Full Service includes checking the pool water chemistry, adding chemicals as needed, cleaning the tiles, brushing all walls, cleaning the water line, cleaning the pump and skimmer baskets, netting the pool, cleaning the filter and visually inspect the pool equipment.
Is there a less expensive option to Shockwave's Full Service?
Yes. For those who have automatic pool cleaners and manage their own pool chemicals, we offer the Value Service to include wall brushing, skimmer basket cleaning, and pool filter cleaning.
Which service do most of your customers choose?
Full Service is our most popular pool cleaning service.
Does Shockwave Pool Service provide repairs?
Shockwave Pool Service works exclusively with a local licensed pool repair company that can repair or replace all brands of pool equipment.
Will my swimming pool and spa be cleaned on the same day each week?
Yes, Shockwave Pool Service schedules pool service on the same day each week. When exceptions arise due to severe weather and/or holiday weeks, we will always coordinate with clients for schedule changes.
May I change the day of the week that my swimming pool is serviced?
Shockwave Pool Service sets routes and visits based on neighborhoods and geographical locations for each day of the week. We will make every attempt to identify a schedule that works for us both.
What causes a bathtub ring to form around the waterline in my pool?
Floating oils, dirt and waste can combine to form a scum line around the pool. Tile is an easily cleanable surface, which is why it is placed at the water level around the perimeter of the pool, and our weekly pool cleaning service prevent this scum line from forming. Also cleaning the scum inside the pool skimmer will help to keep the tile cleaner.
Why is my pool green?
A green pool is usually due to algae. We will diagnose and treat this and return your pool to optimum condition.
Why is the water pressure reading high on my pool filter?
This typically means that your pool filter is not being maintained properly. There are many different types of filter so you should refer to your owner’s manual for specific instructions on proper maintenance. If you have a cartridge filter it may be time to replace it.
How do I remove the hard white substance building up along the water line on my pool?
This “white substance” is most likely calcium build up and can be difficult to remove. You can raise the water level above the calcium build up and then chemically treat the water. This may take months to correct and require a little elbow grease and scrubbing with pumice stone.
Why do I have to keep adding water?
There are many factors that can contribute to this. Evaporation in the summer heat will take water out of your pool. First step would be to look for any obvious leaks at the equipment pad. Also look in the area surrounding the pool for puddles of water or squishy patches. If you cannot spot a clear leak, it is best to get a professional leak detection specialist. Shockwave Pool Service can help diagnose the problem and if it is a leak in your pool, we will connect you with a reputable company for repairs.
